Frequently asked questions

Answers before you bring it in.

These are general answers. The exact repair, timing, warranty and price will be confirmed for your specific device.

Still not sure?

Submit the model and symptoms. You do not need to diagnose the device yourself.

Ask for a Quote

How do I get a repair price?

Submit the Repair Quote form with the exact model and problem. Gadget Defenders manually reviews the request because parts, model variations and availability can affect current pricing.

Does submitting a form authorize a repair?

No. A quote request only asks for information and pricing. Work is not authorized until you approve the repair and its terms.

How long will the repair take?

Timing depends on the repair, current workload and parts availability. Many common repairs can be completed quickly, while diagnostics or advanced failures may require more time.

What does the warranty cover?

Warranty coverage depends on the repair and part. Eligible screen repairs may include lifetime coverage on the replacement panel itself. Broken glass, physical damage, liquid damage and unrelated failures are not covered. Exact terms should be explained on the repair receipt.

Will my data be safe?

Repairs are handled carefully, but no repair shop can guarantee data that exists only on a failing device. Back up important information whenever possible before service.

Do you repair liquid-damaged devices?

Liquid damage can affect multiple components and may continue causing corrosion. Gadget Defenders can evaluate the device, but recovery and long-term reliability cannot be guaranteed.

Can I bring in a device someone else tried to repair?

Yes, but tell us what was attempted and which parts were replaced. Prior work can affect diagnostic time, repairability, cost and warranty eligibility.

How does selling a device work?

Submit the Sell Your Device form. A preliminary offer may be provided from the information given, but the final offer depends on physical inspection, account status, financing status and verification.

Do you buy locked or financed devices?

Devices generally need to be legally owned, paid off and free from activation locks. Exact eligibility is confirmed before purchase.

Should I call before visiting?

Calling first is helpful for model-specific repairs because we can check likely parts availability and tell you what information or accessories to bring.
